FAQ

Before you get in touch.

Questions about the work itself are answered on the Services page.

Q.01 Who will actually work on my project?

Just me — Matthew Gardner. No salespeople, project managers or overseas subcontractors. From the first email through design, code, server setup and support, you work with the person doing the work.

Q.02 How much does it cost?

Every quote is free. Projects (websites, migrations, security assessments) are a fixed price agreed before work starts; hosting & care and managed IT are predictable monthly plans; small one-off jobs are hourly, and I'll tell you the likely range first.

Q.03 How fast do you respond?

New inquiries usually get a reply within 4 business hours. Active managed-IT clients can open priority tickets and have a direct line for urgent issues. Network monitoring is automated hourly checks — it flags problems early, but it isn't a staffed 24/7 operations center.

Q.04 Who owns my domain, accounts and code?

You do — from day one. Your domain, Microsoft 365 or Google account, admin logins and website code are yours, your site stays standard WordPress or Next.js, and you can move it to any host at any time.

Q.05 What happens if you're unavailable — or we stop working together?

Everything is documented as I go and you keep admin access to your own accounts, so another technician could pick up where I left off. If we part ways, you get the documentation and credentials — no lock-in.

Q.06 Where do you work?

On site across Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange counties — especially for IT, networking and security — and remotely for clients anywhere.

Q.07 Do you work with medical offices and sign BAAs?

Yes. I support medical and other offices that handle sensitive information, and I sign HIPAA Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with medical clients. Security work follows the practical safeguards HIPAA-minded practices and cyber-insurers look for.

Q.08 What's the free email security check?

Include your business domain in the form. In my first reply I'll check your public email authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) and your SSL setup, and tell you what I'd fix — no charge and no obligation.
