Privacy policy

Plain English, no surprises.

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This policy explains what information WebDesign101 (Matthew Gardner, mgardner@webdesign101.us) collects through webdesign101.us and how it is used.

What I collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you pick and your message — plus your phone number and business name or website, if you choose to give them.
  • Server logs: like most websites, the server records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used for security and troubleshooting.
  • Cookies: the site uses only the essential cookies WordPress needs to work. There is no advertising or analytics tracking.

How it's used

Contact form submissions are stored in the site's help-desk system (SupportPress) on servers I operate, and a notification is emailed to me through Google Workspace. I use your information only to reply to you, provide the services you ask for, and keep records of our work together.

Sharing

I don't sell or rent your information, and I don't share it with marketers. It is handled only by the services needed to run this site and my email (my own hosting servers and Google Workspace), or where the law requires it.

Third-party content

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. Links to other websites (such as client sites in my portfolio) are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.

How long it's kept

Inquiries and project records are kept for as long as needed to respond, provide services and meet business and tax record-keeping requirements. You can ask me to delete your information at any time, subject to legal and tax record-keeping requirements.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you by emailing mgardner@webdesign101.us. Please don't send passwords, confidential client records or patient health information through the contact form.

Do Not Track

This site doesn't track visitors across other websites, so it treats all visitors the same whether or not a browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
